The iconic Falling Stone is back!

Five years after its last brew, the iconic bitter Falling Stone is making a comeback and is proving very popular! Available only in cask in selected pubs in September, Falling Stone is a smooth and well rounded traditional bitter. It's brewed from home grown barley malt and hopped with Progress and Northdown hops and its darker colouring comes from the addition of chocolate malt. The name is inspired by the first UK recorded meteorite which fell in our neighbouring village, Wold Newton - you can read more about it here http://bit.ly/2yZJQPi. The Directors' Diary in this month's newsletter is all about harvest and is a fascinating insight into farm life... August is a busy month for us here at Wold Top. Not only do we have an influx of seaside visitors to the Yorkshire Coast who want to drink delicious beer, it’s also harvest time on the farm. The biggest event in the farming calendar. The word ‘harvest’ comes from the Old English haerf-est which meant ‘autumn’ and/or ‘august’ and signified the period in the calendar when the crops had reached maturity and were ready to be gathered in. Thanks to everyone who helped us to raise £5,000 for charity

We're delighted to share that we welcomed 700 visitors and raised £5,000 for charity when we opened the brewery and gardens to the public recently. We are always delighted to welcome people to Hunmanby Grange and to raise valuable funds for the National Garden Scheme, St Cuthbert’s Church at Burton Fleming and our charity of the year, Mind. Everybody enjoyed the gardens, the great food provided by Field and Forage and the ladies of the church, tours of the brewery and, of course, the beer!
