We're on a roll!

We're very excited to learn that we have reached the final of another award! This time, it's Welcome to Yorkshire's super prestigious White Rose Awards and we've been shortlisted in the Taste of Yorkshire category.

We're one of six finalists and face tough competition from Cannon Hall Farm, Barnsley; Cedar Barn Farm Shop, Pickering; Fodder, Harrogate; Miller's Fish and Chips, York and The Firebox Café, Hawes.

The Taste of Yorkshire award aims to reward tourism bosses who produce a quality end product or uses local produce and contributes to the long term sustainability of the local community.  The winners will be announced at the White Rose ceremony later in the year.

Of the shortlist, our Export and Accounts Manager, Kate Balchin said: “It’s been a great year for the area with another successful Tour de Yorkshire and we’re delighted to have reached the final of this competition that celebrates all things Yorkshire.” 

Sir Gary Verity, Chief Executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said:  “The quality of this year’s entries has been exceptional and makes me feel hugely proud of all the brilliant work going on in tourism in the county. It’s an honour to be part of these awards that recognise the many businesses and organisations that make Yorkshire such an amazing destination.
