New recipes for British Food Fortnight

We're very excited to be collaborating with our friends at Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil to create some recipes for British Food Fortnight (18th September to 3rd October). The recipes include sweet treats in the form of Ale Brownies with Ale and Marmalade Frosting, and hearty dishes like Drunken Creamy Chicken, Steak and Ale Stew with Herb Dumplings and Toad in the Hole with Onion and Ale Gravy and Honey & Mustard Mash. Trialling a new barley variety

As you know, we're one of only a handful of brewers in the UK (and possibly worldwide) who create our brews using home grown barley and as we’re farm based we have full control over the crops that we grow. This year, we’re very excited to be trialling a new variety of winter barley that has been bred by a leading agriculture company, Syngenta, specifically for brewing (Wold Top) and whisky-making (Spirit of Yorkshire).
