FOUNDED 2003

Wold Top was founded in 2003 by farmers Tom and Gill, who were looking at different ways to sustain the family farm with diversification and hit on brewing as their solution!

Tom is now semi retired and Gill passed away in 2020.

Keeping it the family

In 2010 they were joined by eldest daughter Kate and her partner (now husband) Alex and over the last few years they have taken over the day to day running and business development of the Brewery. 

BREWERS

The Brewery has gone from strength to strength and we couldn’t have done this without our team of talented Brewers, quality focused Bottlers and passionate Sales and Delivery folk. Brewers Andrew, Tony and Henry make sure our beers are brewed to perfection, while also ensuring that the casks that go out to pubs and bars are in top condition.

Bottlers Tom, Steve, Nigel and Jake take beer destined for packaging and by conditioning, filtering and testing it, make sure every bottle that leaves our site is perfect. All our beer is packaged by us which means we control every aspect of its quality at all times.

Andy and Ben take charge of getting casks and bottles to our local customers, you may see them out and about in our Brewery vans during the week! Mark keeps the warehouse moving and online orders shipping out. Huw helps in the cellar and driving.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Then, behind the scenes we have Jo, Anne, Josh, Alice and Alex who keep us running on a day to day basis with sales, order processing, dispatch and accounts. Sam runs our tours and other events.
